John H. Pennock, Jr. graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alaska in 1975 and a Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School of Union University in 1979. He is admitted to the New York State Bar and is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States District Court in the Northern and Western Districts of New York.

He is a member of the Board of Governors for the New York State Attorney Fee Dispute Resolution Program, having been appointed by the Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court Third Judicial Department. Mr. Pennock is Past-President of the Federation of Bar Associations of the Fourth Judicial District, an association comprised of eleven county bar associations in upstate New York. He is also a member of the Saratoga County & New York State Bar Associations and Chairperson, Judicial Election Qualification Commission, Fourth Judicial District.

For over ten years, by judicial invitation, he acted as a Master Attorney to the American Inns of Court, Albany Law School Chapter. The Inns of Court is an organization consisting of local judges, attorneys and law students. Mr. Pennock is also a member of the Character and Fitness Committee, Appellate Division, Third Department by appointment of the Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division.

He has tried hundreds of cases throughout upstate New York and was featured on Dateline NBC for successfully representing a local fire department. He has extensive experience in matters involving automobile accidents, death actions, malpractice, civil rights, construction accidents, slip and fall accidents and nursing home injuries.
