Dominick J. Viscardi (New York State Supreme Court Retired Justice), a resident of the Town of Ticonderoga, New York, was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1950. His preparatory education was at Lafayette College where he received his B.A. in 1946. Hon. Viscardi's legal education was at Cornell Law School where he received his J.D. in 1948.

Hon. Viscardi began his legal career in Ticonderoga in 1950, following discharge from the U.S. Army where he served on the U.S. Army Signal Corps legal staff. He conducted an active trial practice for 28 years before being elected to the Supreme Court.

He was first elected to the Supreme Court in 1978 and was re-elected in 1992. During his tenure as a Supreme Court Justice, he served in each of the counties of the 4th Judicial District and he served 28 terms in New York City. Since 2004 he has acted Of Counsel to the Law Office of Pennock, Breedlove & Noll, LLP.

He serves as a settlement officer under the Civil Appeals Settlement Program for the Appellate Division, Third Department serving the counties of Essex, Franklin, St. Lawrence and Clinton.

Hon. Viscardi is past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 333, was a trustee of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ticonderoga for 22 years, and was awarded the St. Mary's Centennial Award on August 23, 1992. He is a past President of the Essex County Bar and the Federation of Bar Associations, 4th Judicial District.

He served as a member of the Committee on Professional Standards for the Third Department, served as a member of the Judicial Conference of the State of New York, Third Judicial Department and received the Felix J. Aullsi Award from the New York State Lawyers Association.

Hon. Viscardi is a member of the Essex County, Warren County and New York State Bar Associations.
